BEST OF KERALA BUDGET TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Cochin Arrival

You will be greeted by a Tour Packages India Representative and driven to to your hotel. Spend the day seeing the sights which may include a visit to the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica or a boat tour of the harbor islands.In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kathakali Dance overlooking the Cochin Harbor.

Day 2: Cochin to Alleppey Houseboat (4 hour drive)

Enjoy the downhill drive into the backwaters of Alleppey where you'll board your private AC houseboat. Kick back and relax aboard the houseboat while cruising the backwaters lagoons, canals and lakes. Enjoy all meals served aboard - buy some fresh fish from the floating vendors and have it prepared just the way you like it.

Day 3: Alleppey to Periyar (4 hour drive)

Take a wonderfully scenic drive through the hilly countryside of the Cardamom Hills en route to Periyar.

Day 4: Periyar

Visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve. Spend the evening exploring and shopping in nearby Kumily where every spice grown in Kerala is sold - you'll know you've arrived by the aromatic atmosphere.

Day 5: Periyar to Kovalam (5 hour drive)

Descend the Cardamom Hills to the coastal town of the world famous Kovalam Beach. Long an international draw, you'll find it a fascinating and enjoyable way to wind up this tour.

Day 6: Kovalam

A day of leisure, a night of pleasure...stroll the boardwalk, explore the lagoons hidden behind the beachfront shops, hang out on the beach watching the fishermen bring in their fresh catch, relax at a rooftop restaurant and watch the sunset...a nice finishing touch to your extended week in the wonderland of Kerala.

Day 7: Kovalam to Trivandrum for Departure

You will be driven to your point of departure in Trivandrum.
