Mamalla Bhavan - near bus stand - great for south Indian breakfast and thaali lunches
The Golden Palette - Raja Street - AC dining hall - very good south Indian meals
Otthavadai Street near the Beach - lots of foreigner restaurants
The Beach is lined with outdoor restaurants - take your pick - very fresh seafood
The Radisson Hotel - fantastic food but overpriced

Tanjore

Raja's Curry - Court Rd - very good veg/non-veg food
Sathars - Gandhiji Rd - good but oily curries
Thevars - best biriyani in town
Dheen Garden - the only place where you can get grilled chicken - the generous portion of tandoori chicken is delicious, don't miss the murthapa
Mullai - Hotel Oriental Towers - good but overpriced
