Best Time: Winter in Rajasthan and Varanasi offers very cool evening temps and shorts weather throughout the day. Summers are incredibly hot but arid. Moonsoons can be quite enjoyable as rains occur mostly in the late afternoon offering a respite from the day's heat.

Day 1: Delhi to Agra (205 km / 5 hour drive)

After breakfast you'll travel to Agra. Upon arrival you'll check-in to your hotel and the day will be available to you for sightseeing. The Agra Fort is one of the most popular afternoon tourist destinations. Of course, the Taj Mahal awaits - the best time to view the Taj is late afternoon to watch the changing colors of the Taj as the colorful sunsets reflect upon it. Early morning is also considered a good time for the same reasons and because it's the coolest part of the day to enjoy the monument. Dine out as you like and spend the night.

Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays

Day 2: Agra to Khajuraho via Jhansi and Orchha (via Train/Car)

Catch a train to Jhansi, less than a 3-hour ride to the south. Travel to Khajuraho via Orchha to visit ancient temples. Check-in to your hotel in Khajuraho. If time permits, stroll the gardens surrounding the Jain temples...best seen in early morning and evening.

Day 3: Khajuraho

The Jain temples of Khajuraho are known for the erotic content of the carvings as well as for their intricacy. The central complex which borders the edge of town occupies beautiful gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. Day 4: Khajuraho to Delhi (via Train)

Catch the train to Delhi and transfer to your point of departure.
