TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
You will be greeted at the airport by a Tour Packages India Representative and escorted to your hotel by private AC car. As the check-in is facilitated by the desk staff you will be briefed on the tour program after which you'll be escorted to your room where you'll spend the next two nights.
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast you will embark on a day of sightseeing around Delhi. Delhi is said to be one of the oldest existing cities in the world - over 5,000 years old - along with Damascus and Varanasi. Delhi is by far the most cosmopolitan city in India and a true traveller's delight. The list of things to do in Delhi is endless and you'll surely discover many interesting things to do on your own. Here's an abbreviated list of some of the most popular tourist activities:
Eat Dilli-ki-Chaat, visit the Red Fort, one of the most popular attractons is the Lotus Temple (Bahai House of Worship), constructed out of marble and in the shape of a lotus flower, stroll around Humayun’s Tomb which combines Persian style with local craftsmanship, listen to Qawwalis (devotional music) sung at dargah of Nizamuddin Auliya (one of Islam’s holiest tombs) at around sunset, and visit Gandhi’s simple tomb in its tranquil gardens – said to be the most peaceful place in all Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra (205 km / 5 hour drive)
After breakfast you'll travel to Agra. Upon arrival you'll check-in to your hotel and the day will be available to you for sightseeing. The Agra Fort is one of the most popular afternoon tourist destinations. Of course, the Taj Mahal awaits - the best time to view the Taj is late afternoon to watch the changing colors of the Taj as the colorful sunsets reflect upon it. Early morning is also considered a good time for the same reasons and because it's the coolest part of the day to enjoy the monument. Dine out as you like and spend the night.
Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays
Day 4: Agra
Most travellers start their day at the Taj Mahal - sometimes traveling by Horse Cart to the entrance. The rising sun reflecting on the Taj during the coolest period of the day makes it a favorite time to visit. It opens at 6:00 a.m. so breakfast usually takes place after your visit. Later, visit the Agra Fort. Agra served as a home to the Mughal Dynasty and next to architecture their influence had the greatest effect on the cuisine. Don't miss out on authentic Mughali dishes - famous the world over for a very good reason
Day 5: Agra to Jaipur (232 km / 6 hour drive)
Pay a visit to the Taj before departure. Later, enjoy the afternoon drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri and then on to the Pink City - Jaipur - where you'll spend the next two nights.
Day 6: Jaipur
Jaipur has many points of interest including the Amber Fort, City Palace, Jai Mahal Lake Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), Jantar Mantar, Monkey Temple,
Elephant Rides, Tiger Fort, The Entrance of City Walls just to mention a few.
Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi (260 km / 6 hour drive)
After breakfast you'll be driven back to Delhi to your point of departure.
