Chandigarh offers a relief from the heat of the plains. At 350 m / 1,100 ft above sea level, it remains comfortably cool throughout the year. Considered the Gateway to Himachal, it's a great starting point for this tour. It's very well connected to Delhi so there's a no shortage of ways to get there.
