A nice break...take in the Taj in the evening or morning - both great times to find yourself surrounded by the changing hues of the day. Travel down to Khajuraho and stroll through the World Heritage Sites of the renowned Kamasutra carvings on some of the most intricately carved temples in the world - a glowing tribute to the Jain heritage.
Itinerary Route: Delhi - Agra - Khajuraho - Delhi
Day 1: Delhi to Agra (205 km / 5 hour drive)
After breakfast you'll travel to Agra. Upon arrival you'll check-in to your hotel and the day will be available to you for sightseeing. The Agra Fort is one of the most popular afternoon tourist destinations. Of course, the Taj Mahal awaits - the best time to view the Taj is late afternoon to watch the changing colors of the Taj as the colorful sunsets reflect upon it. Early morning is also considered a good time for the same reasons and because it's the coolest part of the day to enjoy the monument. Dine out as you like and spend the night.
Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays
Day 2: Agra to Khajuraho via Jhansi and Orchha (via Train/Car)
Catch a train to Jhansi, less than a 3-hour ride to the south. Travel to Khajuraho via Orchha to visit ancient temples. Check-in to your hotel in Khajuraho. If time permits, stroll the gardens surrounding the Jain temples...best seen in early morning and evening.
Day 3: Khajuraho
The Jain temples of Khajuraho are known for the erotic content of the carvings as well as for their intricacy. The central complex which borders the edge of town occupies beautiful gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. Day 4: Khajuraho to Delhi (via Train)
Catch the train to Delhi and transfer to your point of departure.

Deposit and Final Payment A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 15% per tour is required for TPI to ensure your reservation. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received by TPI and you, in turn, receive a confirmation invoice via email. TPI accepts MasterCard and Visa. Your reservation will be automatically cancelled if deposit is not received by the deposit due date. Please review your booking invoice and contact TPI if your invoice appears to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later. Cancellation Fees are as follows: Tours cancelled 15 to 29 days before tour commencement date: 55% of the cost of services booked Tours cancelled 7 to 14 days before tour commencement date: 75% of the cost of services booked Any tour cancelled less than 7 days before tour commencement date will be ineligible for a refund.
