Delhi hotels are centrally located making all city points accessible. Agra, Jodhpur and Jaipur hotels are reminiscent of the great Mughal dynasty with beautifully landscaped grounds, marble floors, and impeccable service. Pushkar and Udaipur are centrally located around Lake Pushkar, the heart of the two towns. Hotels in western Rajasthan are heavily influenced by the grand intricate artistic flair of haveli architecture. A lot of interesting and exiciting choices.
Best Time: Winter in Rajasthan offers very cool evening temps and shorts weather throughout the day. Summers are incredibly hot but arid. Moonsoons can be quite enjoyable as rains occur mostly in the late afternoon offering a respite from the day's heat. October thru March (Winter)
Delhi is simply the most well-connected city in India. It's served 24 hours/day by an International Airport, four different railway stations, and an abundance of public and private bus lines.
Both Shimla and Manali offer a wide selection of restaurants. Foreigners won't be disappointed with either the Western or local fare...from pizza to Tibetan momos - there's something for everyone.
Forts, palaces, havelis, a rat temple - really, zip rides, camel rides, horseback rides, boat rides. And the most interesting and varied architecture you could hope for..you'll spend the entire tour wishing for more hours in the day to conintue the ride.

Legend estimates it to be over 5,000 years old - it is said to have been built and destroyed 11 times throughout its history. In spite of its rich historical heritage represented by it's innumerable monuments, Delhi's population is reputed for having little awareness of or pride in the city's history due to the simple reason that few Delhi residents actually belong to Delhi. The population of Delhi is a heterogeneous mix of people originating from every corner of India. Undoubtedly, this will become obvious during your tour through the city. Delhi is by far the most cosmopolitan city in India and a true traveller's delight. Day 3: Delhi to Agra (205 km / 5 hour drive)After breakfast you'll travel to Agra. Upon arrival you'll check-in to your hotel and the day will be available to you for sightseeing. The Agra Fort is one of the most popular afternoon tourist destinations. Of course, the Taj Mahal awaits - the best time to view the Taj is late afternoon to watch the changing colors of the Taj as the colorful sunsets reflect upon it. Early morning is also considered a good time for the same reasons and because it's the coolest part of the day to enjoy the monument. Dine out as you like and spend the night.

Spend the afternoon driving to Jaisalmer where you'll spend the next two nights. Day 11: JaisalmerEnjoy the day touring the city. The city surrounding the Jaisalmer Fort is just as amazing and unique as the fort itself.
